A collaboration between chef Wendy Hughes and front of house Beejal Gajjar, Cooking for a Crowd was the team behind The Atrium Cafe in Hammersmith’s St Paul’s Centre from 2017 to 2020. Before that we ran all the events at Linden House Riverside in Hammersmith for over 10 years. We now provide outside catering for all manner of small and large events and special occasions. Whatever we do, our focus is always on delivering great fresh food and welcoming hospitality. Wendy cooks from the heart and Beejal’s natural charm and organisational skills keep our customers coming back, and it’s the reason we get so many recommendations.

With a passion for great food and quality service, you can expect imaginative, fresh, wholesome food, using quality ingredients sourced whenever possible from small local suppliers in West and South west London.

Salmon fillet with tamarind, lemongrass and chilli

  • Great for a buffet, looks and tastes spectacular.

Saffron & green olive chicken

  • This recipe is from Claudia Roden who cooks sublimely.

Pork Pibil

  • Cooked slow, and using good quality high welfare pork – this dish is hard to beat.

Bulgar and courgette pilaf

  • Loved by all on it’s own and served with our Lebanese meatballs.

Chocolate Nemesis cake

  • A recipe from the River Café – decadent and divine.

 

Chicken Za’atar

  • An Ottolenghi recipe - loved by all.

Beef rendang

  • Served with acar pickle & jasmine rice. Great after a few drinks for a party, it soon whips everyone into shape.

Chicken, lemongrass and lime salad

  • A fresh zingy salad for a summer lunch.

Broccoli salad with tahini and soy

  • A tasty salad with a yummy dressing and feels so healthy.

Plum frangipanne tart

  • I Iove to cook this for Beejal, it’s her absolute favourite, you should see her face!

Cooking for a crowd catered for a recent 50th birthday party I organised and I cannot speak more highly about their service. The delicious food the professional way it was all conducted, no problems nothing was too much or too difficult..... lovely staff and needless to say...... not a single scrap of food left.... and there was a lot. The comments from the guests were all so positive and made me very proud of them.

Wendy and Beejal did a fantastic job catering for our wedding at Linden House on the Thames. They made us feel at ease right from the start and took care to help us through the planning stages including the chance to taste the dishes and wines we planned to serve our guests.
